How to Screenshot on Snapchat Without Them Knowing

0

We all know Snapchat is a lively platform that permits sharing moments with your followers only for a limited time. However, as some snaps from a few senders are too cute or aesthetic to be ignored, you’d like to take a screenshot and save it. But immediately, regret and embarrassment will catch you doing that when Snapchat displays a banner notifying the sender that you have taken a screenshot. Due to this, the sender will feel concerned about privacy.

To avoid this problem, you need to take a picture of the snap from another mobile. But you don’t have to do that anymore. I’ve come up with the possible methods available to screenshot a Snapchat from a sender without them knowing. All you have to do is go through this article completely and choose a method that suits you.

Take a Secret Screenshot on Snapchat using Voice Assistant

This method is exclusive to users who have an Android mobile. Google Assistant will take screenshots on the Snapchat app without the sender’s knowledge. Before proceeding to the steps, go to the Settings menu on your Android and make sure the ‘Hey Google’ feature is enabled.

  • Open the Snapchat app on your Android and select the Snap you want to take a screenshot of.
  • Now, wake the Google Assistant by saying, “Hey Google.” Continue speaking to the voice assistant and command it to “Take a screenshot.”

  • That’s it! You’ve got the screenshot of the Snap picture without being notified by the sender about your activity.

FYI! iPhone users can also screenshot photos on Snapchat by commanding Siri to do so. Unfortunately, screenshots you take using Siri on Snapchat are notified to the user on the other end.

Screenshot & Screen Record on Snapchat Without Anyone Knowing on a PC

It is a simple way for anyone to take a screenshot on Snapchat without leaving any trace. Follow the below points to jump into the process immediately.

  • PC will be the best second-screen device and offer screenshot functionality. However, Android mobile users should use a Windows PC, and iPhone users should use a Mac because the connection is possible only with these devices.
  • Then, prepare your respective computer for screen mirroring from your mobile phone. After that, connect your PC and smartphone to the same WIFI network.
  • Access the Cast option on the Notification panel of your Android mobile. Likewise, enable the Screen Mirroring option from your iPhone’s Control Center. In the Devices List, select your PC and share your mobile screen with it.
  • Then, launch the Snapchat app on your mobile phone and open the required photo. It will open on the PC screen simultaneously.
  • Now, screenshot your PC screen and save the snap photo to your PC’s storage. Press the Print Screen button on Windows PC & Command + Shift + 4 on Mac to take a screenshot.

In case you want to save a video sent on Snapchat,

  • Install a screen recorder app beforehand on a Windows PC beforehand. Then, you can screen mirror your mobile phone and start recording the video for saving it.
  • If you have a Mac, get into the QuickTime Player and select File → New Movie Recording after initiating the screen mirroring process.

Take the Screenshot on Snapchat by Minimizing the App

This is actually a trick to screenshot a Snap picture someone shares with you without them knowing. It works out on Android mobiles and computers.

Android Mobile:

  • While you have the particular Snapchat image open on your Android mobile, minimize the app and access the Recent Screen.
  • Snapchat will still display the image on preview with other recent apps on your Android smartphone.
  • Now, screenshot the whole mobile screen. Then, you can crop the Snapchat image and save it to the gallery. The sender won’t be intimated about this screenshot.

Windows PC/Mac:

  • Open a browser on your PC and visit Snapchat for Web [https://www.snapchat.com/].
  • Login to your account and access the Snapchat picture you want to take a secret screenshot.
  • Now, select the Maximize button in the browser window. The browser window will be reduced from its normal size.
  • Drag the corners of the browser inwards using the mouse pointer and make the size even smaller. After bringing it to a corner, screenshot the PC screen. Your Snapchat app won’t be able to recognize this.

The app preview screen was blurred when I tried the same trick with the Snapchat app on iPhone. Likewise, screenshot information was sent to the person at the other end when I took a screenshot of a picture on the Snapchat app on a Windows PC.

Use Third-Party Apps to Take Screenshots on Snapchat

Certain third-party apps will help you take screenshots on Snapchat without the sender’s knowledge. Only Android device users can use these apps. One of the best apps is the SnapScreenshot Tool. Download the APK file of the SnapScreenshot Tool application from any APK website and sideload it on your device. Once done, refer to the steps below.

  • Set up the app and grant it permission to access the required functions and your smartphone’s memory.
  • You’d have a floating Camera icon on the corner of your mobile screen.
Click Camera icon
  • Enter Snapchat and view the desired picture. Click on the Camera icon, and you’ll get a screenshot of the image that’s only known to you.

Yes. Hit the Save icon in the bottom left corner and save the snaps you share to Memories. Then, you can save it to your mobile gallery, too, if you wish.

2. Can I use the built-in recorder to record the Snap?

This method was previously available. You can record videos on Snapchat using an iPhone’s built-in recorder and save them. However, Snapchat has recognized these loopholes and has disabled the possibility of carrying out this method.
