How to Use Microsoft SwiftKey AI Keyboard for Smarter Typing

How to Install Microsoft SwiftKey AI Keyboard on Smartphone

1. Get the Microsoft SwiftKey AI Keyboard app on the smartphone from the Play Store or App Store.

2. Open the application on your phone and tap Get Started.

3. Sign in to the keyboard app using your Microsoft or Google account. If you are an iPhone user, you can also sign in to the application using your Apple account.

4. If you want to receive notifications from Microsoft SwiftKey on your smartphone, tap Sure. Or else, tap Not Now.

5. Next, if you want to share data with Microsoft to improve your user experience, tap Yes. If you don’t want to share, tap No.

6. Then, you need to give full access to the app to integrate the keyboard with your phone. So, go to the Keyboards Settings on your phone and give full access to the SwiftKey app.

7. Once you have given full access to the SwiftKey app on your phone, an Installation Successful Message will appear on the screen.

Set Up Microsoft SwiftKey AI Keyboard App

1. On the app’s home screen, there will be a News Feed section where you can keep yourself updated with the latest news.

2. At the top of the homepage, you can find the SwiftKey Widgets such as Themes, Languages, and Typing Stats.

• Languages: The SwiftKey keyboard app supports over 700 languages across the globe. In this language widget, you can search for your preferred language and tap Download to use it while typing.
• Themes: In this section, you will find multiple keyboard styles in dynamic colors to change the look of your keys.
• Typing Stats: This option offers insights regarding how the app enhances your typing experience, such as productivity, flow distance, flow count, and typos that are corrected.

3. From the home page, you can find the Settings icon at the bottom. In the Settings tab, you will find multiple options. You can customize the option based on your preference.

• Clipboard: The clipboard helps you copy texts, links, etc., to sync them between your PC and phone.
• Autocorrect: Enable the Autocorrect feature, and the keyboard will automatically correct and complete the word.
• Number Row: This option will add a number row to your keyboard.
• Quick Period: In some keyboards, you need to move to the punctuation section to add a full stop or quick period (.). To avoid this, you can enable the Quick Period option and double-tap the space button to insert a quick period (.) automatically.
• Auto Capitalize: By enabling this feature, the keyboard will automatically start with a capital letter whenever you start a new sentence.
• News Feed: Enable this option, and you will get the News Feed section on the Microsoft SwiftKey AI Keyboard app’s home page.
• Key Click Sounds: With this option, you can hear click sounds whenever you type anything on the keyboard.
• Key Haptic Feedback: It refers to the vibration you feel when you press any key on the keyboard. So, enable vibration on your keyboard for a more engaging typing experience.
• Voice Typing: Toggle on this option, and the keyboard will automatically type sentences using your voice. Note that this option works only in English.
• Microsoft SwiftKey Flow: This option allows you to type quickly by sliding your finger from one letter to another.
• Quick Emoji Key: When you enable this option, you can access emojis instantly while typing. Enabling this option will replace the Globe key with the Spacebar key.
• Revert Autocorrect on Backspace: If you have enabled the autocorrect option, it will sometimes suggest a wrong word. By enabling the revert option, you can easily revert to the originally typed text using the backspace.
• Always Show Copilot Icon: Enabling this option will always keep Microsoft’s Copilot icon on the SwiftKey keyboard. Then, you can use Copilot anytime by tapping the icon to generate text or content.
• Show default toolbar: The default toolbar icon will appear on the keyboard when you enable this option. Using the toolbar option, you can easily access emojis, GIFs, stickers, etc.

2. Click the Globe icon on the keyboard panel. Then, the SwiftKey keyboards distinct icons will appear at the top of the panel.

3. Now, if you want to generate any content to send on the chat, click on the Copilot icon and generate the required content.

4. You can also use Emojis and GIF icons to send emojis and GIFs while chatting. Further, you can store your copied texts, links, etc., by selecting the Clipboard icon.
